Ashley’s Senior Session in Excelsior, Minnesota
Part 2 of this amazing session featuring Ashley!
Again I cannot describe how much I love shooting in Excelsior Minnesota! There are so many stunning walls, nooks, and corners that have such amazing lighting and just overall Exscleior is an amazing spot to take senior pictures (totally not trying to convince anyone to take senior pictures here *wink wink*). Excelsior is also where I took my senior pictures back in 2018, and this is where I had my very first senior session ever, so this location just holds a special place in my heart! Like I said in Emerson’s blog post this was a two-part senior session where I got to photograph these two twins at the same time! And being a twin often means sharing the spotlight so I decided to give them each their own blog post! So make sure to check out Emerson’s blog post to see Emerson’s images and learn a little bit more about Emerson!
Onto Ashley! Working with Ashley was so much fun, I learned that she was a theatre kid so that explains why expressions were so good! Literally, this girl was so good at the “Giggle over there” prompt, like I did zero coaching on how to do the giggle she just did it, and I was like danggggg!!! Can you please come to coach my other seniors on the giggle! It was such a challenge choosing between all of the giggle pictures, this entire gallery could have been her giggle pictures but don’t worry I controlled myself and limited my giggle picks. Ashley was definitely the leader of getting everyone to laugh during this session and it was really amazing and made the session feel a whole lot more comfortable and fun, I’m pretty sure she started the inside joke with the giggle prompt that carried throughout the entire session and created some amazing giggle photos. (also someone start a giggle count on this post because I feel like I have said it a ton already!) I also really just want to make note of her eyesssss they just soaked up the light and I was all for it! I also loved how her outfits complimented the different locations we found and they both just looked so good and also definitely represented who Ashley was! I keep saying things about how the outfits represent the senior, I have noticed in the past that some seniors wear things they aren’t comfortable in and the pictures just don’t look like them, that is why I push so hard to wear things that you love and feel good in because then you get images that accurately represent you in this season of life!
Again like I said in Emerson’s blog post, this session was an absolute dream, I had so much fun getting to know these two and hanging out with their family, I hope you guys love your images as much as I do and I am excited to see where life takes you both!
