Emerson’s Senior Session in Excelsior, Minnesota

I have been struggling to write this blog post for a few weeks not because I have no words to describe how amazing this session was! This is only Part 1 of 2 of this special session done with siblings! This is Emerson’s installment of the Excelsior senior session posts and I am so totally amazed at how stunning these pictures turned out! When having a twin, oftentimes the spotlight is taken away from you so, that is why I am giving both Emerson and Ashley their own blog posts!

So now onto Emerson’s portion of the session! Can we seriously talk about how easy it was to photograph Emerson?! Working with Emerson was so amazing and her outfits had me jaw-dropping! They were so personalized and you could totally tell that they accurately represented Emerson! I was totally in love with the sunflower shorts (and lowkey want my own pair because I loveeeee sunflowers). Getting to know Emerson was incredible, Emerson told me all about working at a childcare center, and I need to give credit where credit is due… I could never work with that many kids as Emerson does! It truly takes a special kind of person to be able to handle that! So I am in total amazement of Emerson for that!

There were just so many amazing vibes going on during this session it was so much fun working with Emerson and Emerson’s family! Fun fact: I used to work at Target with Ashley and Emerson’s mom back when I was in high school! So it was also super fun getting to catch up with her again and now getting to know her kids! There were so many laughs and inside jokes going on, especially relating to my “go giggle over there” prompt. We had such a gorgeous night, found so many amazing spots for pictures, dodged a ton of people who were hanging out around the Excelsior downtown because I forgot about music in the park that day, and they got to be my pop-up changing tent guinea pigs! (which I only struggled to close a few times). Overall, this session was such a dream and I would love to be able to do it all again! I love shooting in Excelsior and could not have asked for a more perfect night or more perfect clients! I hope Emerson (if you're reading this) that you enjoyed the experience and love your images as much as I do! I am completely obsessed and literally showed everyone how amazing they turned out! You and Ashley’s session was definitely a highlight of my 2022 senior season!
