Wedding Albums
Something that I feel very strongly about as a Minnesota wedding photographer. Is that every single couple who books me for their wedding should Print. Their. Photos. no ifs and or buts. Print your dang wedding pictures. Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life. Keeping those images forgotten on your computer where nobody can ever see them does no good for anybody. Now because I feel so strongly about this, I changed my wedding packages to where every single couple that chooses to book me for their wedding day. Receives a custom, hardcover, thick-paged wedding album. It’s durable, it’s good quality, and most importantly it shows off your big day in a beautiful way.
So why do I even need an album?
Some of you may wonder why exactly it’s so important to print your pictures and have a wedding album. Well for starters, it’s a physical backup of your wedding images. Hard drives crash, servers fail and the computer dies and you will lose all of your wedding images. Having your photos printed is just another way to have your images backed up. Having your wedding album is an incredible way to honor your wedding photographs and a great way to be able to quickly look back at all the memories and moments that took place during your day. Not only is your wedding album a way for you to look back on your day. But think about all the generations after you that will get to cherish the images as well. Physical items are not going away. But as we have seen with how fast even are charging cords are changing, who knows if your future kids will even be able to plug in that USB with your images or get your old computer to power on to see them. In this digital world, I think it is even more beneficial to have your physical wedding album to touch and feel and pass down for generations. So that is why wedding albums are included in all of my wedding packages.
So how do these albums work?
After you receive your online wedding gallery, I will remind you to pick your top 50-100 images to put into your wedding album. I will personally design you an album to tell the story of your day and after a few rounds of revisions and customizations like your cover or page layouts. I will place the order for your album to be printed. After a couple more weeks when I receive your final album, I will wrap up your album, download all of your images on a custom USB, and mail you the album box. And don’t you dare tuck it in a bin where nobody can see it. Display it, show it off!
