Ruby’s Senior Session, Anoka Minnesota

Where do I even begin with Ruby’s session…. This girl totally rocked her session and I am so obsessed with her images! We originally planned on exploring downtown Elk River for her session, however when we learned that there was music in the park downtown Elk River that same night we did a quick location switch and ended up in downtown…. Anoka! And wow was I blown away by all the amazing spots Anoka has to offer! Anoka quickly has become one of my new favorite spots for senior sessions. I had gone an hour beforehand just to scope it out and see what we can do and I was so just so amazed by all the walls and beautiful spots Anoka has to offer. I could have easily spent the entire two hours of her session in Anoka but we also made plans to head over to Otsego for some dreamy golden hour shots in a field. Which… might be some of my favorite images I have ever taken of a senior. Ruby had such a gorgeous evening for her senior pictures and everything honestly could not have worked out more perfectly. Everything was literally so perfect for her session, the lighting, her outfits, the locations. Also, this girl was amazing at posing and the fake giggle I often make seniors do! Definitely one of the smoothest and easiest senior sessions I have had the privilege of shooting. Ruby was a complete natural.

Something I learned from Ruby’s session is how amazing it is to bring your best friend with you to your session?! Literally, it was so fun having her best friend there to fix outfits, adjust hair and make sure that Ruby looks her best… on top of having your best hype person with you that will help you feel the most comfortable in front of the camera! Because when all else fails at least you can look at your best friend and laugh! Having someone with you at your session that makes you feel comfortable and confident is so much fun! I will never stop someone from bringing a friend or two to their session because I know how awkward it can be to have your pictures taken by a stranger that you have probably never met before. So invite your best friend and let's met your senior session a blast full of laughs and memories!

So yeah, I had an absolute blast working with Ruby and getting to meet her and her friend and her mom, her session was literally perfect and I am so excited to be sharing some of my favorites from her session!
