Lydia’s Senior Session, Waconia Minnesota
Exploring downtown Waconia was something I have been looking forward to all senior season! I knew it had a lot of potential, I just needed a taker! Lydia was my first senior to want to do her images in downtown Waconia and boy did it not disappoint! There was so much variety within a small distance and I was blown away! We found little flower nooks, vine walls, wood porches, gorgeous brick staircases, and the golden glow found its way to use at the end of the session! The weather was literally perfect (thankfully) and everything worked out so amazing! We wandered around the city and just found some of my new favorite spots! Also, Lydia might be one of my new favorite people, she literally was such a natural in front of the camera! She nailed all of my poses and prompts and was literally predicting what I was about to say?! Like she made my job soooooo easy! She also told me how she is interested in photography herself and I love getting to talk photography with other people (although my nerd side definitely comes out oops)
Getting to know Lydia, like getting to know all of my seniors, was so much. I learned that she is headed off to college to become a teacher and I think that is so inspiring! Just by being around Lydia for that short amount of time, I could just tell that she is going to be an amazing teacher. She just has a calm personality that we can all appreciate in our educators. I loved hearing about her passion for teaching and I am so excited for her! I love hearing about the plans the people I work with have. It is always so fascinating hearing about all the different directions a person can go with their life! I have met seniors that want to be teachers, hygienists, mechanics, and even a forensic photographer! Like it’s just so crazy all of the different things and getting to learn about them from my seniors!
Anyhow, I had so much fun working with Lydia, she is literally so sweet and I am so glad she chose me for her senior portraits!
