My First Roll of Film
One goal for myself for this year was to learn something new with photography. And something that I have always wanted to try was shooting film. I have a few film cameras that I received from my aunt’s garage sales. I did not know if they worked or not and for the last few years I have been using them as decorations rather than using them as they are meant to be used. Mitchell (my husband) helped me clean some corrosion out of my Nikon A2000 film camera, I wanted to start out using this camera because it has some more auto features on it to help me as I learn film photography. Thankfully Mitchell got it working and it has been really fun playing with it and figuring it out.
One Year Anniversary Trip to Glacier National Park
Time is such a wild concept. It goes so slow in the moment but looking back it flew by. I cannot believe it has been 1 year since Mitchell and I got married. This year as been a wild ride with super high highs and very low lows. I am so glad to have found a life partner who can celebrate wins and who can stick out loses. September was a crazy month for me, I had a record amount of sessions and weddings in this month. So when the opportunity came for Mitchell and I to take a few days away I was so grateful. The mountains have been my happy place ever since my first encounter with them back in 2018 while I was in the Austrian Alps with my German class. So naturally when on a road trip to Montana to photograph a wedding, you take a few extra days to head to Glacier National Park.
Adam and Jenn
I cannot BELIEVE I am writing a blog post about a Montana wedding! Photographing destination weddings has been my dream for so long and I am so THANKFUL that Adam and Jenn trusted me and allowed my dream to come true. A few years ago I went on a road trip with a friend of mine. We drove 26 hours out to the Pacific Northwest and part of our route was driving through Montana. It was during that trip that I fell in love with Montana and needed a reason to go back. The mountains are my happy place and I am so glad Adam and Jenn brought me back.
San Diego Travel Guide
After my recent trip to San Diego California with my family and the hours of research we put in to find all of the great spots to enjoy while we were there, I wanted to make a little family friendly San Diego Travel Guide! In this travel guide I will include all of the family friendly things we did and a some of the things we ended up not doing but would have definitely been on our list if we would have had more time to explore San Diego.
Our Family Trip to San Diego California
Ever since I traveled abroad to Germany my drive for traveling and experiencing new places has only accelerated. There is just something so special about learning and seeing all the things travel has to offer. And something that I am extremely proud of is being able to experience travel with my little family (even on a budget). After a long Minnesota winter, my husband and I decided to take our son on a short vacation to the sunny west coast and visit San Diego, California for the first time.
What I Learned Traveling Abroad
It has been a fast 5 years since I traveled abroad for the first time to Germany. This exchange trip was such an incredible experience and I am so excited to be sharing a little bit about it. This first time traveling alone taught me so much about myself and really helped shape me into the person I am today.
Our Jamaican Honeymoon
I am still just in disbelief that we could make this dream honeymoon happen. I would have never guessed that we would have been able to travel to Jamaica for our honeymoon. Let alone stay at a Sandals resort for a week and explore so much of Jamaica as we did. We are already dreaming of the next time we can return to Montego Bay Jamaica and relive our relaxing honeymoon memories.
