Prepping for 2023
Wow does time fly. I cannot believe that we are entering 2023 already. It seems like we just started 2022 last week I swear. I am so excited for this year and some of the things I have planned and the goals I have set.
I have been working on some excited things the last few months of 2022 to get prepped for 2023 and although I won’t go into to much detail about them until they release, but they are going to be good. I will mention since it is happening soon that I will be doing Feburary’s “Love Month Special” again this year but the sale is going to be even better! So don’t hesitate and join the email list for early access to the sale if you are a 2023-2024 bride!
I have always been someone who tries to make huge resolutions and change my whole life but this year I just want to focus on sticking to my systems and routines and making more time to be with family. I learned a lot in 2022 so I want to prioritize the important things while still building my business so that one day I can live my dream life. So there are a few changes I am making, but I also want to give myself more grace this year and not be so harsh on myself. Because things will happen when they are meant to happen and I really want to focus on what I can control and not worry about things I can’t. I think that will save myself (and my husbands) sanity this year.
So some things I want to stick to this year for my business specifcally are:
continue automating my social media and website content
working when I can on blogs to stay ahead of the game with extra posts just in case I fall behind
continue planning my weeks and tasks on Sunday’s
Some things I want to implement to make my life easier this year are:
culling my images the same day and importing with my preset right away
create an email list to stay directly connected with past/future clients
accomplish 1 task every weekday to keep building and furthering my business.
use Sunday’s as a recharge day so I do not overwork myself.
On a personal level I also have a few things I want to stay focused on that in the past few weeks I have added into practice:
These things are:
doing at least 20 minutes of yoga everyday
journaling everyday, for any length of time but just getting my thoughts on paper has helped me tremednously from oversharing, bottling up, and keeping a clear mind.
doing my daily bible study. For Christmas I asked for this Women’s Bible and I have paired it with this bible study and so far I have loved it!
Things that I want to work on this year are:
relaxing and taking time off/to myself- that is why I have been working so hard on sticking to the 4 things listed above (in total they all take about an hour of my day and I do these tasks in the morning before work)
I want to read more books this year
I want to wake up early everyday (except Sunday’s if my body needs the rest)
In 2022 I will admit I struggled a lot with time management and self discipline. Often laying in bed too long or spending to much time staring at my phone. So this year I really want to get back to things I love, limiting screen time at home because I work on a computer at work all day as well as on a computer at home on my business. And I want to be more present in the moments this year versus always comparing my life to those online.
I already started these things and it hasn’t been that hard to keep up with them. I am so excited to see what 2023 brings this year and I am so looking forward to some of the things I have planned for Jordan Elizabeth Photography. So stay tuned and don’t forget to stay connected!
