Honeymoon Island Couples Session

This session was such a dream come true! As a Minnesota Portrait Photographer, I don’t often get to shoot beautiful images on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico! So when I had to opportunity to do a couples session at Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin, Florida, I jumped right on it! Honeymoon Island was such a stunning location and I am so glad that it was suggested to me to have a photoshoot here! We could not have had a more perfect night either, because I was traveling out of state I only had one evening open to be able to do this session, so I was praying that the weather would cooperate and it did! Other than a tad bit of wind we had such a gorgeous evening. It wasn’t too hot or humid. The sky was clear and we had the best lighting I could have asked for!

This shoot matched my vision perfectly! Warm tones, wind-blown hair, and all the sun flare! Just total beach vibes and I was all for it! I had put a model call on Facebook and that is how Emilie and I connected! Emilie is also a photographer at Big World Photography. She has such an infectious smile and she and Jeremy were so fun to hang out with and get to know! These two had so much personality and were naturals in front of the camera, I kept catching myself in awe and being like “Oh my gosh, you guys are naturals like your just doing everything I would tell you to do.” Working with her was so inspiring and I learned so much about posing and prompting and not being afraid to let my creative side out! I am completely obsessed with how these images turned out and I cannot wait until I get to go back to Florida and shoot more sessions on the beach!
