Alexa’s Senior Session, Minneapolis Minnesota

I do not even know where to begin with Alexa’s session. Everything literally worked out so perfectly- once we were able to locate the right parking garage, driving in Minneapolis has so many challenges and is purely chaotic. On top of the chaos and traffic, the address I sent her didn’t lead exactly to the garage but rather down the street, quite honestly a hot mess but it all worked out in the end. We started her session by taking some Pinterest-worthy pics on top of the parking garage during golden hour and it was literally perfect. (beware I might say perfect a lot during this blog post because her session was literally perfect). The light was just hitting so good I knew immediately this was going to be one of my all-time favorite portrait sessions. After a little bit, we headed down to the streets of Minneapolis to some of my favorite walls and secret spots around the area. I had totally forgotten to mention that we would be doing tons of walking and poor Alexa was wearing these tall heels (the whole time I was like dang girl, how the heck are you still walking) but she powered through and I am so glad because her images are just so stunning! We worked our way around the North Loop area and made our way down to the river that overlook the Grain Belt sign to finish up her session. Literally, everything was so perfect and I am just over-the-moon excited about her images.

Not only were Alexa’s images perfect, her location, the lighting, her outfit, and she was totally perfect. I kept asking her if she modeled at all because she was a total natural in front of the camera! I actually could not believe how good she was at having her picture taken. Normally I direct everything during a session but Alexa was just doing things before I told her to do them and I was- and still am- totally blown away by it! I loved getting to know her a little bit during her session, she is looking into going into healthcare and I really admire that about her. Anyone going into healthcare is such an inspiration to me. I tried and had an interest in it, but then I learned that I am not good with blood or anything like that. So seriously I am so inspirited by all of you out there that can handle that stuff! It was just so much fun hanging out with her and exploring Minneapolis with her. I am literally so obsessed.

So yeah- Alexa’s senior session was literally perfect, Minneapolis is gorgeous, the locations we hit were stunning, and Alexa is insanely beautiful and totally rocked her session and I am so glad to be sharing her gallery on the blog today!
