Erin and Mustafa

Stone Lion Winery Isanti, Minnesota

Another stunning fall wedding in the books. My 2023 photo season was absolutely crazy so here I am, in January of 2024 (yes I will openly out myself here) writing about my September weddings! But my weddings last season are to perfect not to share.

Erin and Mustafa has a stunning fall day for their wedding at Stone Lion Winery in Isanti Minnesota. I had never photographed a wedding at this venue but I quickly fell in love with it! The bridal party had the option to get ready in the Bed and Breakfast and it made getting ready photos a breeze! The boys hung out downstairs and played cards and listened to music while the girls upstairs got ready. It was great for keeping the bride and groom separate until the first look. Which the biggest thing I fell in love with was the vineyard. Which was perfect for Erin and Mustafa’s first look. I absolutely loved how their first look images turned out and their bridal portraits. After Erin and Mustafa’s first look we did a few more portraits with their adorable kiddos. This venue had so many good spots for photos, for some of their family photos we took advantage of the driveway with stunning tree coverage. I am a little obsessed.

During this past photo season I wanted to challenge myself and my creativity more. So it was so much fun getting to try different camera techniques like a slower shutter speed to capture motion blur during their bridal party photos. It was great getting to be more creative and to have a couple and bridal party that was down for every prompt I threw at them, even if it felt a little weird.

Stone Lion Winery is an awesome venue with a good mix of modern and rustic. After Erin and Mustafa’s beautiful ceremony we danced the night away in the reception space, which was just a white tent, but the way this venue has it set up I really liked it. The white inside made my job a lot easier and it was spacious for lots of people. They also had games outside and places to hang out. Erin had it decorated beautifully and I loved getting to capture their details.

Weddings are my absolute favorite to photograph for many reasons. But getting to photograph Erin and Mustafa’s wedding was a big reminder as to why I do what I do. I love getting to connect with the families and laugh with their friends. These two had an amazing group and party and I couldn’t help but find myself laughing the entire time.

Here is a snippet of some of the incredible images i was able to capture during this couples wedding! I am so excited to be sharing on the blog today!
