Emma’s Senior Session
BATTLE LAKE SENIOR SESSION
Another stunning Glendalough State Park Senior Session for the blog today! I absolutely love this location and so far this year I have gotten to photograph 3 seniors here! It makes me so happy when I get to photograph here! Working with Emma was so much fun, and even though we had a colder, windier and overcast day I absolutely love her images! It is much cool to me when I get to work with clients who were referred by previous clients! Emma was referred by her boyfriend Ryder, who had his senior pictures taken by me last fall! You can view Ryder’s Blog Post Here. I had so much fun working with Ryder so I was so excited when I found out who Emma was! And then when she chose my favorite location I got even more excited!
I do a lot of session at Glendalough between seniors, families, and couples but I still find new spots all the time! So during Emma’s we lucked out and I found a few new spots at Glendalough that I absolutely loved. I found a new spot in the trees (after my directionally challenged self went down the wrong trail) and it was gorgeous and so green and gave us a nice break from the wind. I also love using the buildings that are there, but I have never noticed the bricks on the backside of one of the buildings so when I saw those I was super excited and I think the set of images by the brick in Emma’s gallery is my favorite.
We ended Emma’s session in my favorite flower field and did some images with the American Flag, this was a first for me but the benefit of the wind during Emma’s session made the flag photos some of my other favorites during her session. I love getting to incorporate new poses and props into senior sessions. It helps my creative brain grow and I always leave session feeling so inspired when I get to try new things. We also got to recreate a childhood photo of Emma and its so cute. Her mom showed me the original and I just loved the recreation. This is another “trend” I have been loving lately. Getting to recreate favorite memories has been so much fun and its so special to me to get to learn more about seniors and see some favorite childhood images!
Here are Emma’s images! I am so excited to be sharing them on the blog today!
