Luke and Serah

Battle Lake Engagement Session

As a wedding photographer, I get to work with a range of couples and personalities. It is such a treat getting to work with couples that are so giggling, joyful and in love. Luke and Serah were so much fun to get to know and run around in a field at sunset with. Being around them was so inspiring and I left their session so excited to get to document their engagement pictures as well as their wedding coming up in February. Everyone deserves a love like these two, and during their session I could just feel the amount of love these two have for each other.

Luke and Serah decided to have their engagement session at Glendalough State Park in Battle Lake Minnesota. Which if you have been following along for awhile you that Glendalough is my favorite location for sessions of all time. But Luke and Serah also have a reason to love Glendalough State Park. During their session they told me their engagement story. Glendalough State Park is where they actually got engaged! I loved hearing their story as we walked down the trail to the exact location where Luke proposed. If you can’t tell by my photography style, I do gravitate towards backlite imagery and I don’t often photograph in direct light. However so that we could document some images in the spot Luke proposed I made and exception for these two and challenged myself to shoot in direct light.

Shooting at meaninful locations is always such a blessing, especially when that location is also one of my favorite places as well. I am so honored to get to work with the best couples and I am so excited for Luke and Serah’s winter wedding!

I am obsessed with their images and I am so excited to share!
