Ally and Tyler
West Fargo North Dakota Wedding
I cannot believe that I am writing my first 2023 wedding blog post! Ally and Tyler had an incredible day and I am so glad I got to kickoff my 2023 wedding season with them! These two have been together for 10 years, and it was about time they finally tied the knot! It was so amazing seeing how calm and confident they were during their wedding day. And when we got to watch them interact with each other you can really see that they are made for each other and are a perfect match. Those two could definitely take the world on together.
I was a little nervous going into their day (I normally am for my first wedding each year) but once I got there and got back into my groove I was reminded how much I love being apart of wedding days.
Ally and Tyler had their wedding at the DoubleTree/West Fargo Event Center and walking into the venue and meeting with everyone you could tell how relaxed everyone was. Some weddings feel very hectic and stressed, but this bridal party were laid back and knew exactly what was going on and where they needed to be which was amazing! Ally did such an amazing job planning and all of the little things were perfect.
Ally and Tyler had a beautiful warm an sunny day for their wedding. Everything could not have been more perfect for them. The day started with the normal routine of details and getting ready images. I am a little obsessed with these flat lays of Ally’s details. Then Ally got into her dress with the help of her maid of honor and they did a first look with her bridesmaids. It was so sweet seeing all of Ally’s bridesmaids see her for the first time, and I think that bridesmaids first looks might be my new favorite thing. The amount of love and support these girls have for Ally was so sweet.
After a first look with the girls, Tyler got his moment to do a first look with his Mom. Which was so cute and reminded me of Mitchell and his mom, so I was trying to hold back a few tears during the moment.
After that, we put Tyler in position to do a first look with Ally and I think this is the moment where you can feel everyone there just relax. I will always be a fan of first looks because of how calm it makes the couples on their wedding day. After Tyler and Ally’s first look you can could actually feel the change in the room, it was calm and relaxed before but now that they got to see each other and didn’t have to continue being separated and they could talk to each other. It made a difference in the vibe. After a few bridal portraits we had a lunch break (always schedule a lunch break) it was off to the races. We made a quick pit stop to visit Ally’s grandpa and then it was off to the church to get Ally and Tyler officially married.
After the beautiful ceremony we headed over to a small park nearby to take some bridal party photos. This was the point in the day where we (the photo/video team) got a little nervous, the sky had clouded over and we were on the radar watching for the rain that was going to come. But thankfully we made it through all of the bridal party photos and almost all of the bride and groom photos before the torrential down pour hit us. Ally and Tyler had the best attitude about being rained on and did not let it ruin the rest of their day, they did not even seem phased by the race to the bus to get out of the rain.
As they say, it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day. And the way these two handled the rain really assured us that they were meant to be together. Most brides would let getting rained on ruin their day, make them worry about how they look or if their hair was ruined. But I never heard anything from Ally, we could just tell she was happy to be married and be with her closest friends. Also Ally if you are reading this, even after you got poured on, you looked stunning! Let me know your secret one day!
The thing that really stuck out to me the most about Ally and Tyler’s wedding day was how amazing their family and friends are. Sometimes at weddings you get stressed out parents causing drama or friends who are more worried about themselves than the couple. And it was really amazing to see the community Ally and Tyler have around them. Everyone was calm, seemingly focused on them and making everything perfect. After listening to speeches my feelings were confirmed that they really have a great group around them.
We had so much fun hanging out all day with Ally and Tyler’s crew and it was a great night to kick off the Jordan Elizabeth Photography 2023 wedding season, so if you made it this far thanks :) now here are some of my favorite images from the Wentz’s wedding day!
